Well, the holidays have officially come and gone. Now the days are short and cold and I can only dream about all the amazing food I enjoyed during the celebrations of the season. Here’s a peek at what I ate (and made!) over the past couple of weeks.
It’s crab season, so obviously fresh cracked dungeness crab was on the menu. Multiple times. Paired with bread, oysters, and a hearty salad, it’s such an easy, amazing, and festive dinner.
Deep-fried turkey.
Double chocolate chunk cookies.
Warm egg salad sandwich inspired by Il Cane Rosso. Sparkling pomegranate punch with homemade pomegranate juice.
Abita-beer battered fried chicken.
Domestic caviar, creme fraiche, and blini.
Eggs Benedict and home fries with a side of sliced apples.
Baked Alaska with chocolate cake and coffee and dulce de leche ice cream.
My current favorite breakfast: a simple soft-boiled egg, fresh fruit, and toast.
